Sudpsuez “Floral” Dessert Plate Red
These "Floral" plates are hand-made and hand-painted by Zsuzsanna Nyul exclusively for Cabana. Crafted from high-fired stoneware, they are the result of a unique method that leaves the bottom of the plates unglazed. The classic yet whimsical hand-painted decorative motifs in red are based on historic ceramics from Transylvania: the inspiration for these pieces springs from a desire to create a contemporary object that still retains familiar elements. Inspired by the Arabian Nights folk tale narrated by the ancient ruler Sharyar's wife Scheherazade for One Thousand and One Nights, this capsule translates a storytelling tradition into a dramatic visual journey, combining motifs from intricate carpets, brocades and fine embroideries to create layered, sophisticated patterns.
