The Marbled Vide Poche is handmade in Italy by Venetian artisans using marbled paper—a technique steeped in history and known for its mastery of abstract decoration. The marbled pattern, created through the meticulous combination of pigments, oils, and water, renders each pencil a unique work of art, impossible to replicate exactly. Available in two beautiful colours, yellow and green. These trays can be used as both decorative and functional objects in your workspace.
The ancient Ofer bookbindery practices this centuries-old tradition in its two historical workshops in Padua and Venice, producing sophisticated bindings and papers – not only marbled but also ebru and stamped. These varieties of paper are among the most valuable of all paper products, and are entirely handmade by craftsmen.

The D'Ascoli x Trompe L’Oeil collection is inspired by Renzo Mongiardino and the home he created in Milan for the mother of founder Martina Mondadori. The Master adored “trompe l’oeil,” the visual technique of fooling the eye with decorative painting that creates the illusion of different materials. Two themes Mongiardino returned to again and again were Marquetry - inlaid wood veneers, and Pietra Dura - inlaid stones. For Cabana, D’Ascoli has created a sumptuous layering of faux bois marquetry and faux marbre pietra dura effects printed on linen and on hand-spun, hand-woven cotton with hand embroidery.
