Sudpsuez Black and Red Suzani
This antique Suzani is a stunning example of Central Asian textile art, traditionally handcrafted for ceremonial and decorative purposes. Characterized by vibrant colors and skillful embroidery, the textile features bold red and black floral and geometric motifs. The central circular pattern, reminiscent of a sun or medallion, is surrounded by swirling, vine-like black designs, bordered with repeating red flowers and ornate foliage in black. In keeping with tradition, the story of our Blossom plates begins with the discovery of a wonderful antique piece: in this instance, a vintage plate that Martina Mondadori found in her grandmother’s kitchen cabinet. The oval platter's floral motifs of deep blue and green, typical of handmade Italian ceramics, have been given a modern burst of extra colour but retain every ounce of their rustic charm. Laden with summer pasta or fresh fruit, this platter is the perfect centrepiece for any table. These plates are produced exclusively for in Umbria, where a small team of artisans paints each piece by hand. Typifying our ethos of collaboration with local craftspeople, each Blossom plate stands as a unique testament to the marriage of history and innovation that defines Cabana.

Printed in London and case-bound by our maker in Glasgow, this A4 notebook has an exquisite antique saffron-dyed silk ribbon marker, and is lovingly finished with a hand-painted stippled edge. The pages are artist-quality paper, but would be equally suited to desk jottings. The cover design, exclusively created by The Kensington Paperie for Cabana, is finished with a quarter-bound cloth binding, and the endpapers are a hand-coloured engraving of the iconic Palm House at Kew.
