His passion for antiques and the inspiration he draws from Roman Interiors were the starting point for the Roman Portfolio, a collection of rooms and places which he considers iconic. Other stories include a visit to Palazzo Te in Mantova, a conversation with Erdem and the special alchemy between Interiors and the garden at Wardington Manor in Oxfordshire.

This issue focuses on England starting in London at the Soane Museum and continuing in a country house in the Cotswolds. Moving up north, Mark Cropper takes us to discover the region of Cumbria, one of the most sparsely populated areas in the country. And then to Chatsworth, one of England’s “unsurpassed treasures,” home of the Duke of Devonshire. Then a visit in Spain at Casa de Pilatos in Seville, whose walls were entirely covered in colorful tiles and to the textures and patterns on the walls of Cabanas in a village in Ghana, captured years ago by Tim Beddow.

Sudpsuez Magnetic Midnight Cañaflecha Pouf, Natural Black
Handwoven in Tuchin, in the northern coast of Colombia, our double Cañaflecha pouf is designed by Magnetic Mignight Maison for Cabana. A striped pattern and two toned palette in hand-dyed Cañaflecha, a reed traditionally used to make the emblematic 'vueltiao' hat, creates an elegant piece. Each fibre is braided into strips that are sewn together like a patchwork, typical of the heritage craft that dates back to Colombia's Zenu culture when the designs on each braid were used to denote a clan within the community. Reinvented in this modern design, the pouf is a testament to the marriage of tradition and innovation that defines Cabana.

Sudpsuez Magnetic Midnight Canaflecha Pouf, Natural Cream
Handwoven in Tuchin, in the northern coast of Columbia, our double Cañaflecha Pouf is designed by Magnetic Midnight for Cabana. Varying grades of tan and browns in hand-dyed Cañaflecha, a reed traditionally used to make the emblematic 'vueltiao' hat, create a striking piece. Each fibre is braided into strips that are sewn together like a patchwork, typical of the heritage craft that dates back to Colombia's Zenu culture when the designs on each braid were used to denote a clan within the community. Reinvented in this modern design, the pouf is a testament to the marriage of tradition and innovation that defines Cabana.

Handwoven in Colombia using two traditional crafts from the region, our Lampazo pouf is designed by Magnetic Midnight Maison exclusively for Cabana. Stylish design combines with heritage craft to create a piece that seamlessly fits into any space. A multicoloured top cushion features a hand-dyed and woven cotton textile made in San Jacinto. The base is upholstered with cañaflecha, a beautiful material traditionally used to make the emblematic Colombian 'vueltiao' hat.
